What’s New on the 2027 Ford Super Duty?

The 2027 Super Duty is built around a simpler offering strategy than recent years, with a few meaningful changes that matter most to the people who order these trucks for work.

The headline changes for 2027:

• Simplified engine lineup. The 7.3L gas V8 is now standard on every trim, and the 6.7L High-Output Power Stroke® diesel is the only optional diesel — and it’s now standard on the F-450.
• Tremor Off-Road Package opened up. Tremor is now available on all trims, including the XL, and can now be ordered with the 8-foot bed / 176-inch wheelbase on XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum.
• New special editions. The first-ever Super Duty Carhartt and the Proud to Honor appearance package both arrived for 2027.
• New colors. Neptune Blue joins the palette, and Iconic Silver Metallic is now available beyond fleet ordering.

What Engines Does the 2027 Super Duty Offer?

For 2027, Ford streamlined the Super Duty to two engines — down from four in recent years.

• 7.3L gas V8 (the “Godzilla”) — now standard on XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum (F-250 and F-350). Paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
• 6.7L High-Output Power Stroke® V8 turbo diesel (B20) — the only diesel offered for 2027, optional across the lineup and standard on the F-450. Paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

What that means in plain terms: the bigger gas engine is now the baseline on every Super Duty, and if you want diesel, you’re getting the High-Output version. The standard-output 6.7L Power Stroke and the 6.8L gas V8 from prior years are no longer part of the 2027 lineup.
