The 2027 Ford F-150 is offered in eight series — XL, STX, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Tremor, and Raptor — across Regular Cab, SuperCab, and SuperCrew configurations. The biggest changes for 2027 are a 3.0L V6 EcoBoost that is now the standard engine on Lariat, the return of the 5.0L V8 as an available engine on King Ranch and Platinum, new grille designs across four series, new wheel options, and three new exterior colors.

Ford has not yet published horsepower, torque, fuel economy, towing, or payload figures for the 2027 F-150. Rather than estimate or carry over last year’s numbers, we have left them off this page entirely. Vehicle details here reflect the most current information Ford has released and can change as the model year progresses. We update this page as new details are confirmed.
What’s new on the 2027 Ford F-150
If you are cross-shopping a 2027 against a 2026 on our lot, these are the differences that actually matter:
- New grille designs on XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum.
- New wheel options — 18-inch and 20-inch designs on XLT and Lariat, plus 22-inch bright and black-insert options on King Ranch and Platinum.
- 3.0L V6 EcoBoost is now the standard engine on Lariat, in addition to being standard on XL, STX, and XLT.
- 5.0L V8 is available again on King Ranch and Platinum.
- New Tremor and Raptor entry equipment groups, giving both series a lower starting point in the lineup.
- Torsen front differential is now optional on Tremor in the two lower equipment groups, and included in the two upper groups.
- FX4 Off-Road Package is now available on STX in the higher equipment group.
- Lariat Chrome Appearance Package is now available on the two lower Lariat equipment groups.
- Body-color bumpers are standard on XLT in the top equipment group, which also picks up Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0, an available twin-panel moonroof, and available power-adjustable pedals.
- Monotone paint is now an option on King Ranch for buyers who prefer a single-color body without the lower accent.
- Tailgate applique with integrated step is standard on King Ranch and Platinum.
- Three new colors — Birch Sand, Neptune Blue, and Wild Green.
One thing worth stating plainly, because we get the question: the 2.7L V6 EcoBoost is not offered on the 2027 F-150. The 2027 engine lineup is listed further down this page. 2027 F-150 series lineup
Eight series, and they genuinely serve different jobs. Here is how they break down.
XL
The work truck, and the only series offered in Regular Cab. Standard equipment includes 17-inch steel wheels, cloth 40/20/40 front seating, SYNC 4 with a 12-inch center display, Ford Co-Pilot360 2.0 driver assistance, a Class IV trailer hitch receiver with a 4-pin and 7-pin harness, and four pickup box tie-down hooks. Available in Regular Cab, SuperCab, and SuperCrew.
STX
Adds body-color front and rear bumpers, rear privacy glass, a rear-window defroster, unique sport cloth 40/console/40 front seating, and zone lighting. The standard group runs 18-inch gloss black wheels; the higher group steps up to 20-inch dark gray aluminum, a 12-inch cluster display, and LED fog lamps with cornering lamps. New for 2027, the FX4 Off-Road Package is available on the higher group. SuperCab and SuperCrew.
XLT
The volume trim, and the one most Hutchinson buyers land on. Body-color bumpers, LED fog lamps, carpeted flooring with floor mats, a 12-inch cluster display, and zone lighting are standard. Move up through the equipment groups and you pick up dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, remote start with remote tailgate release, intelligent access with push-button start, a power-sliding rear window, Pro Power Onboard 400W outlets, and Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0. Black, Black Plus, and Chrome appearance packages are available. New grille and new wheel designs for 2027.
Lariat
Where the truck starts feeling like a nice vehicle rather than just a capable one. ActiveX-trimmed heated and ventilated front seats, a 10-way power driver seat with memory, a heated wrapped steering wheel, LED projector headlamps with dynamic bending, power-folding heated mirrors, a B&O sound system by Bang & Olufsen, and BlueCruise hardware with a 90-day trial are all standard. Ford Co-Pilot360 Active 2.0 brings a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise with lane centering and stop-and-go, and Pro Trailer Backup Assist. New for 2027, the Lariat Chrome Appearance Package is available on the two lower equipment groups. SuperCrew only.
King Ranch
Western-themed luxury with genuine wood interior trim, King Ranch leather seating, heated rear seats, a power tilt and telescoping steering column with memory, and 20-inch chrome-like PVD wheels. The Tow/Haul Package, Bed Utility Package, and Mobile Office Package are all standard, and BlueCruise arrives with a one-year plan included. New for 2027, the 5.0L V8 is available, monotone paint is an option, and the tailgate applique with integrated step is standard. SuperCrew only.
Platinum
The technology-forward luxury build. Gloss black grille surround and accents, 20-inch gloss ebony black wheels, multicontour front seats with Active Motion, an aluminum applique center panel, and a power tilt and telescoping column with memory. Higher groups add a head-up display, a center high-mounted stop lamp camera, power-deployable running boards, and the B&O Unleashed 14-speaker system. The Platinum Plus theme brings 22-inch premium painted wheels with chrome inserts and full quilted leather seating. A Satin Appearance Package is available. SuperCrew only.
Tremor
The off-road build that still works as a daily truck — and the one that makes the most sense on McLeod County gravel. Standard equipment includes a 3.73 electronic-locking rear axle with a 9.75-inch gearset, off-road tuned front and rear shocks, unique Tremor control arms and front knuckle, skid plates, front and rear tow hooks, 18-inch dark matte alloy wheels on 275/70R18 all-terrain tires, a unique dual-outlet exhaust, six upfitter switches in the overhead console, and Trail Control with Trail 1-Pedal Drive and Trail Turn Assist. Drive modes add Rock Crawl to the standard set. New for 2027, a Torsen front differential is optional on the two lower equipment groups and included on the two upper groups. SuperCrew 4x4 only.
Raptor
Purpose-built desert running hardware. A 4.10 rear axle, a five-link rear suspension with Panhard rod, long-travel suspension with unique upper and lower control arms, Fox Racing Shox with Live Valve technology, a mechanical locking transfer case, and terrain modes including Baja and Rock Crawl. Rides on 17-inch cast aluminum wheels with LT315/70R17 all-terrain tires. The Raptor 37 package steps up to 37-inch tires on bead-lock-capable wheels, and Raptor R brings the 5.2L supercharged V8 with its own exterior and interior themes. SuperCrew 4x4 only.
2027 F-150 engine lineup
Six engines across the range, all paired with an electronic ten-speed automatic transmission. Availability varies by series, cab, and wheelbase.
- 3.0L V6 EcoBoost — standard on XL, STX, XLT, and now Lariat. Not offered on the 122-inch or 157-inch wheelbase.
- 5.0L V8 — available across XL, STX, XLT, Lariat, Tremor, and now King Ranch and Platinum. Standard on the 122-inch wheelbase Regular Cab.
- 3.5L V6 EcoBoost — standard on the 157-inch wheelbase, on King Ranch, on Platinum, on Tremor, and on the top Lariat equipment group. Available further down the range.
- 3.5L PowerBoost Full Hybrid V6 — available on STX, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum. Pairs with a hybrid ten-speed transmission and includes Pro Power Onboard 2.4 kW, with a 7.2 kW upgrade available. Note that selecting the hybrid removes the 36-gallon extended-range fuel tank.
- 3.5L V6 EcoBoost High Output — Raptor.
- 5.2L Supercharged V8 — Raptor R.
Two ordering details worth knowing before you spec a truck. The Tow/Haul Package is not offered with the 3.0L V6 EcoBoost, so if you want that package you are looking at the 5.0L V8 or a 3.5L. And on 3.0L builds, the integrated trailer brake controller becomes a separate standalone option rather than arriving inside Tow/Haul. If you pull a trailer regularly, that pair of facts should shape your engine choice more than anything else on this page — and it is exactly the kind of thing worth a five-minute phone call before you commit to a build.

Cab, bed, and wheelbase configurations
- Regular Cab — 6.5-foot box on a 122.5-inch wheelbase, or 8-foot box on a 141-inch wheelbase. XL only.
- SuperCab — 6.5-foot box on a 145-inch wheelbase. XL, STX, and XLT.
- SuperCrew — 5.5-foot box on a 145-inch wheelbase, or 6.5-foot box on a 157-inch wheelbase.
Fuel tank capacity is 23 gallons in standard range and 36 gallons in extended range, depending on configuration. For most of our customers running between Hutchinson, Litchfield, and Willmar in a week, the extended-range tank is worth asking about.
2027 F-150 exterior colors
The 2027 palette includes Agate Black Metallic, Birch Sand, Carbonized Gray Metallic, Iconic Silver Metallic, Marsh Gray, Neptune Blue, Oxford White, Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, Star White Metallic Tri-Coat, and Wild Green, plus Shelter Green on Raptor. Birch Sand, Neptune Blue, and Wild Green are new for 2027.
Color availability varies by series and equipment group — not every color is offered on every trim, and some are extra-charge finishes. Tell us the color you want and the trim you want, and we will confirm whether that combination can actually be built before you get attached to it.
Technology and driver assistance
Every 2027 F-150 comes with SYNC 4 running on a 12-inch center display with wireless phone connection, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and a 5G modem. Ford Co-Pilot360 2.0 is standard across the lineup and includes pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, blind spot information with cross-traffic alert, a lane-keeping system with road edge detection, intersection assist, post-collision braking, rear parking sensors, and reverse brake assist.
BlueCruise enables hands-free driving on 97 percent of controlled-access highways across the United States and Canada, including hands-free lane changes and in-lane repositioning. For 2027 it is offered three ways — a 90-day trial on equipped vehicles, a one-year-plus-90-day plan, and a one-time purchase. Worth understanding before you order: the hardware has to be specified at order time, so this is a decision you make up front rather than later.
Pro Power Onboard turns the truck into a jobsite generator. Output tiers run 400W outlets in the cab and bed, a 2.0 kW system on 3.5L EcoBoost builds, and 2.4 kW or 7.2 kW on PowerBoost hybrid builds. If you are running tools off the truck at a jobsite outside Glencoe or Cokato, this is the option that changes your day.

Ford has not yet published towing, payload, horsepower, torque, or fuel economy figures for the 2027 F-150. We are not going to estimate them or carry over 2026 numbers, because those figures change between model years and getting them wrong costs someone real money. Which 2027 F-150 is best for towing a trailer in Minnesota?
Start with the Tow/Haul Package, which is not offered with the 3.0L V6 EcoBoost — so a serious tow build points you toward the 5.0L V8 or a 3.5L. Tow/Haul brings an integrated trailer brake controller and an electronic-locking rear axle. On 3.0L builds the trailer brake controller is available as a standalone option instead. Since Ford has not published 2027 towing ratings yet, we would rather talk through what you are actually pulling than guess at a number.
