Can I change my preferences later?

What if I’m trading in my current Explorer or another vehicle?
Mention your trade when you reach out. We can pull a trade value on your current vehicle anytime — no obligation to act on it. A lot of our 2027 reservations will come from customers trading in a late-model Explorer, and those trade values are strong right now.
Can I reserve an Explorer ST or Platinum?
Yes. Whatever trim you want for 2027 — ST, Platinum, King Ranch, or any of the Active-level configurations — let us know when you reserve and we’ll do our best to get your exact build in the queue. Higher trims tend to be more allocation-limited, so reserving early matters more for those.
Will Jay Malone Ford charge extra to order or locate my Explorer?
No. We’ve never charged extra to factory-order or locate a vehicle and we’re not about to start. You pay what the window sticker says, plus applicable tax, title, and license. That’s it.
What if I want to test drive a current Explorer first?
Come on in. We have current-year Explorers on the lot, and a test drive is a great way to get a feel for the platform, seating layouts, and technology before your 2027 arrives.
