Last week, the Hutchinson High School football team's captains stopped by Jay Malone Ford to pick up the dealership's seasonal sponsorship check. Captains Hayden Benson, Grady Campbell, Jack Hantge, and Luke Ostlie met with Assistant General Manager Jordan Malone-Forst to mark the start of another year of Jay Malone Motors backing the Hutchinson Tigers — one of many community partnerships the family business maintains throughout central Minnesota.
A Tradition That Started Long Before The Dealership
Jay Malone Ford's connection to Hutchinson High School athletics isn't a marketing strategy — it's personal. All three Malone kids attended Hutchinson High School. Jordan herself played volleyball for the Tigers before stepping into her current role at the family business. So when the football captains walk through the dealership doors each season, it's not a transaction. It's a hometown handoff from one generation of Tiger athletes to the next.
"Supporting Hutchinson athletics is something our family has done since before this dealership existed," said Jordan Malone-Forst, Assistant General Manager. "We were Tiger kids first. The dealership just gives us a way to keep showing up for the program after we've graduated."
Backing The Tigers, Every Season
The football sponsorship isn't a one-time gesture. Jay Malone Motors supports Hutchinson High School athletics across every sport, every season. From fall football to winter basketball, hockey, and wrestling, then through spring track, baseball, and softball, and back around again — the family business shows up program after program, year after year.
For the football captains, that consistency matters. Hayden, Grady, Jack, and Luke are stepping into leadership roles for a program that has been part of Hutchinson's identity for generations. Knowing that local family businesses are behind the scenes supporting the equipment, the facilities, and the experience that makes a Tiger football season possible adds something to the work these athletes put in every August through October.
A Season To Watch
Tiger football kicks off in August. With four team leaders already setting the tone in the off-season — showing up to handle the small things like sponsorship pickups before the first whistle of the year — this is a group that's serious about earning the helmet. Jay Malone Ford will be cheering them on under the lights all season long, and we encourage every Hutchinson family to come out and support the Tigers when home games begin.
A Family Business In A Family Town
Jay Malone Motors was founded by Jay Malone in 2005. Today, the dealership group is run by the family, and supporting Hutchinson's young athletes is one of the things that keeps the work meaningful. We're proud to back the next class of Tiger captains and the program they represent.
Good luck this season, Hayden, Grady, Jack, and Luke. Go Tigers.
