On Monday, July 20, we got to be part of exactly that when Jay Malone Motors sponsored the annual Hutchinson Chamber Golf Challenge — this year with a fittingly over-the-top “Viva Las Hutchinson” theme. It was a great day on the course, and an even better reminder of why we are proud to call this town home.

A Hometown Tradition
The Hutchinson Chamber Golf Challenge is one of those events that captures what makes a small town special. Hosted every summer by the Hutchinson Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism, it brings local businesses, neighbors, and friends together for a day of golf, food, and a whole lot of fun — no low handicap required. This year’s “Viva Las Hutchinson” theme brought out team costumes, decorated golf carts, staffed holes, and plenty of friendly competition across the course.
It is less about the scorecard and more about the connections. Events like this are where local business owners catch up, new relationships get started, and the community that keeps Hutchinson strong gets a little stronger. That is the kind of thing we want to be part of.

It was a natural fit: two local businesses that care about Hutchinson, showing up together to support a community event. Jay Malone started this dealership in Hutchinson back in 2005, and from day one the goal has been bigger than selling vehicles. We live here. Our kids go to school here. We shop at the same stores, cheer at the same games, and drive the same roads as everyone we serve. Supporting events like the Chamber Golf Challenge is simply part of being a good neighbor — and honestly, it is one of the most enjoyable parts of the job.
