Some days at work look a little different than others. This week, Jay Malone Motors Assistant General Manager Jordan Malone-Forst traded the sales floor for the dunk tank — volunteering to take the plunge at the McLeod County Fair to help raise funds for Hutchinson Youth Baseball. It was cold, it was wet, and it was absolutely worth it for a great local cause.

Taking the Plunge for a Good Cause

The McLeod County Fair is a hometown tradition, and this year it came with a splash. Jordan climbed into the dunk tank and let the community take their best shot — all to help raise money for Hutchinson Youth Baseball. There is something pretty fitting about a few good-natured dunks going toward giving local kids the chance to get out on the diamond and play the game they love.

Fundraisers like this are what keep youth sports thriving in a town like ours. Every dollar raised helps cover the equipment, field time, and gear that make a season possible for young players — and events like the fair are a fun way for the whole community to pitch in together.

Why Showing Up Matters

For Jordan, getting in the tank was an easy yes. Being part of the Hutchinson community means more than doing business here — it means showing up, getting involved, and lending a hand (or in this case, a very wet afternoon) when a local cause needs support. Youth baseball gives kids a place to build teamwork, confidence, and friendships that last, and helping make that possible is exactly the kind of thing worth braving the cold water for.
